Our Children’s Ministry programme welcomes children into a unique environment in which they are surrounded by the sacred stories at the centre of our faith. Our curriculum is based on Godly Play; children have the opportunity to explore, observe, question, create, and wonder what the sacred stories mean, and how they affect their lives. Our children’s ministry room has been refurbished, creating a safe and welcoming space. Our dedicated leaders and volunteers encourage children to explore their faith, and to become life-long disciples of Christ.
At St. George’s, your child’s spirituality is cherished, and we seek to develop relationships with them based on a mutual ministry – children and leaders are both learners and teachers together. Where ever you and your family may be on your journey of faith, we look forward to meeting you, and we hope you find St. George’s to be a nurturing home, and a place to deepen your faith. Nursery Care
Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers during the 10:30 am service. Parents and guardians are welcome to keep their child with them in church if they prefer – babies and children are welcome in all of our worship services.

Movies in the Moment - "The Hate U Give"
Join the Youth Group for Movies in the Moment: "The Hate U Give" - A Screening and a Discussion.
We know that the past few weeks have been difficult ones for many and things that our youth and young children are seeing in the world around us right now are difficult to explain.
Collectively the Youth Group has come to the conclusion (or perhaps more accurately a beginning) that we need to listen, learn and lend our voices to those who are oppressed and most importantly we need to talk about what we're seeing with the understanding that no question is too uncomfortable or unwarranted to interrogate and talk about.
We are continuing this process with a virtual screening of the Film "The Hate U Give" which has been made available for free through YouTube which will follow by a discussion about the film, what we've seen and where we see it in the world around us.
At 5:00pm we'll do a quick introduction to the film. Youth and Families are encouraged to watch the film on their own time. At 7:30pm we'll be rejoining the conversation by Zoom to discuss the film, how it relates to Black Lives Matter and the movement in the world today. Is This Movie Appropriate For Everyone?
The movie itself is rated as PG-13/G (depending on where you look). The content is likely best suited for those aged 13 and up. That said we'd encourage Parents and Families to review it and consider the content and being part of the discussion together.
Synopsis: "Based on the best-selling novel, The Hate U Give tells the story of Starr Carter, who lives in two worlds: the poor, black neighborhood where she resides and the mostly white prep school she attends. This uneasy balance is shattered when she witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood friend by a policeman. Facing pressures from all sides, Starr must find her voice and stand up for what’s right."

If you haven't already seen it I'd invite you all to watch Fr. Michelle's Sermon from the Past Sunday where she reflects on Corpus Christi and the call to action. Its worth a watch and a listen. I'll leave you with her words which I hope embody the spirit of what we are called to do.
