The Reverend Michelle Childs-Ward
Rector & Chaplain of Kingsway College School
Born in Alliston, Ontario, Michelle grew up in the small town of Rosemont, before she moved to Toronto in 1997 for school, studying Medieval History and Anthropology at York University. She received her Master of Divinity with honours from Trinity College at the University of Toronto in 2005. She is passionate about the Gospel and life in the Anglican Church.
The Reverend Canon Doctor Andrew Sheldon
Andrew has been a priest of the Diocese of Toronto for close to 25 years. As well as serving as an Assistant Curate and Associate in his first parish he has been the Incumbent of two parishes, most recently at All Saints Kingsway from 2006 – 2015. Andrew is also on the faculty of Trinity College where he teaches courses on congregational leadership and the spirituality of children.
The Reverend Doctor Pearce J. Carefoote
Father Pearce (P.J.) Carefoote is a native Torontonian, born in the city’s East End in 1961. He attended St Michael’s Choir School from 1969 to 1980 and remains an avid musician. He has a B.A. in History and Philosophy (1983), Master of Divinity (1988), and Master of Library Science (2002), all from the University of Toronto.
The Reverend Janet Sidey
Janet graduated from St. Clement’s School, Toronto and the University of Toronto, Trinity College. She has a teaching qualification from Cambridge England, and an M.A. in Canadian History from the University of Waterloo. The thesis title is Ontario and the Election of 1945.
Director of Music Ministry and Organist
Ran Kim is the Music Director and Organist at St. George’s on-the-Hill, and organist and accompanist at Kingsway College School. Educated in music at the Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea, she moved to Canada where she studied organ at McGill University in Montreal, and the Glenn Gould Professional School of Music (PDP), in Toronto.
Educated in Canada and the USA, Ms. Rymal is well known as an organ recitalist, accompanist and teacher of piano and voice. She is a member of the piano/voice faculty of the Music Department at York University (including the Course Director of 1000, 1001, and 1086) and was the organist/choir director at St. George’s on-the-Hill Anglican Church until 2018.
Candlelight Chamber Choir Music Director
Mark Wood-Salomon, ARCT, Bac.Mus, is a graduate of St. Michael’s Choir School, and The University Of Toronto. He has been a singer for the Wednesday Candlelight Liturgy since March 2006, and assumed the additional role of Director in 2009.
