An Inclusive Community

We love welcoming people – and our doors are wide open to you! St. George’s is a community exploring what faith and spirituality mean for us, both individually and as a community, with open minds and respect for the different places on the journey we find ourselves.
Whether you come from a different faith tradition or none at all; whether you are in the middle of a successful career or without a job at the moment; in a relationship or arriving on your own – there are others like you in our church. Regardless of your sexual orientation or gender identity, your cultural background or personal history – you are welcome here.

Sunday Celebrations

We have multiple opportunities to join us each week. Our main services are on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am and 10:30 am. Both services are friendly, casual and a place where you’ll receive a warm welcome.  The 8:30 am service is a simple, contemplative celebration.  Our 10:30 am service celebrates the rich tradition of choral and organ music and is In-person and live-streamed.   Both celebrations have relatable sermons, thoughtful prayers, holy communion, and a warm community vibe.  These services typically last a little more than an hour, and we always gather for coffee, cookies and conversation following the service.

What Happens?

When you arrive, someone will offer you a program leaflet.  Prayer books and hymn books are located in the pews. Find a seat wherever you like, and relax. The leaflet is a guide to the service (and additionally contains information about other things going on in the church community).  Our church building is fully accessible from the parking lot on the north side.
Services are mostly made up of some singing, some listening and reflection, and some prayer. There are some beautiful rituals (including the Eucharist, also known as Communion) which we hope you’ll find meaningful, whether you take part or just observe.

Beginners Welcome!

It may seem at first like everyone knows exactly what to say and when to say it, but it only seems that way and we’re all happy to stumble through our services together. We’d rather be ‘real’ than ‘perfect’, and we suspect you’d prefer that, too!
We offer worship gatherings that are designed to be deep and meaningful as well as accessible for those who have little or no church background.

Children and Youth

Our 10:30 am celebration on Sunday mornings is designed with families in mind and we have programs most Sundays for children and youth. Nursery care is also available at the 10:30 am service September-June.

P.S.: If you want to have your children in church with you, but you’re concerned they might make too much noise… Don’t worry! We love the sound of children among us.
