Youth Group

Our youth and young adults ministry encourages them to become involved and active members in the wider community. Fun, faith, and social justice are at the heart of our programming.

They meet on Sunday mornings for faith formation, and during the week for various activities ranging from scavenger hunts and bowling, to preparing food and serving at Out of the Cold dinners in the Etobicoke area, and other outreach activities such as the Dorothy Ley Hospice Bed Race.

PRIDE 2021 for Families - Drag Queen Story Time - "Stars Dream"

With Pride Month 2021 behind us, we recognize that Pride is a year round activity! As such, throughout the Summer, St. George's on-the-Hill is sharing a few more opportunities and content from our community celebrating Pride.

This Sunday we hope you'll join us in watching episodes of Drag Queen Storytime - a continuing series for children and families featuring Lucy Flawless as they share children's stories that include messages of inclusion, hope and social justice.

Today's story is "Stars Dream" and "Something Happened in Our Town"

This event has been made possible by the talented Lucy Flawless, Brock Township Public Library, Youth Pride Durham and Durham Children's Aid Society!

Your Craft Challenge for this week is to paint rocks that represent pride. We are creating a pride rock garden at St. George's. Paint your rocks in bright colours, as rainbows, as pride flags or as flags that represent your unique you! When you're done send us a picture of your creations to:

Drop off your rocks at St. George's outside the church office. We're creating a Rainbow Rock Garden at the church!
