Wednesday – Church by Candlelight – St Georges on-the-Hill Anglican, Toronto

Offered on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. from Thanksgiving to Victoria Day. The candlelight celebration is a time to pause in the middle of a busy week and relax as candlelight and darkness immerses you in an experience of prayer, meditation and music. No prayer books, no hymnals; candles provide all the light needed. The evening offers the comfort of anonymity by candlelight, followed by an opportunity to converse and connect afterwards. This service is offered in-person.

For the 2025-26 season, there will be no Church by Candlelight on December 24th or 31st.

Pride Sunday

A Prayer for the Week
Creator God,
you created our inmost beings
and knit us in our mother's wombs.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made.
As Paul and Barnabas showed the early church,
your Holy Spirit dwells in all who call on your name.
Open our eyes and guide our hearts
that we the church
would also look beyond rules that exclude
and welcome all your children
in Christ’s name. Amen.
