Wednesday – Church by Candlelight – St Georges on-the-Hill Anglican, Toronto

Offered on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. from Thanksgiving to Victoria Day. The candlelight celebration is a time to pause in the middle of a busy week and relax as candlelight and darkness immerses you in an experience of prayer, meditation and music. No prayer books, no hymnals; candles provide all the light needed. The evening offers the comfort of anonymity by candlelight, followed by an opportunity to converse and connect afterwards. This service is offered in-person.

A Prayer for the Week
Living God, you raise us to fullness of being
in sharing the Christ-life together.
Teach us to pray
and grant us hopeful persistence
in seeking your will and your way,
that by the power of the Spirit,
love and faithfulness may meet
to disarm the powers of the world. Amen.
