Wednesday – Church by Candlelight – St Georges on-the-Hill Anglican, Toronto

Offered on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. from Thanksgiving to Victoria Day. The candlelight celebration is a time to pause in the middle of a busy week and relax as candlelight and darkness immerses you in an experience of prayer, meditation and music. No prayer books, no hymnals; candles provide all the light needed. The evening offers the comfort of anonymity by candlelight, followed by an opportunity to converse and connect afterwards. This service is offered in-person.

The Tenth Sunday after Pentecost

A Prayer for the Week
God of the lowly and the mighty,
you know the ugliness of your people
when we harm and destroy one another,
yet you offer us forgiveness of our sins if we but turn to you.
Expand our hearts to receive the mercy you give us,
that, in turn, we may share your grace and mercy
with others each moment of our lives. Amen.
