In response to the current care and concern for all who gather in parishes across the diocese, all worship services have been temporarily suspended and we will not gather for worship until further notice. We are committed to providing a worship experience that you can access online. Please join us here or on our St. George’s Facebook Page or YouTube Channel.
I look forward to virtually gathering with you this Wednesday at 11:00. As usual we will say our prayers. Last week we began a discussion on the implications of the church re-opening. On the one hand are looking forward to the day when our church will re-open for public worship. But there is another hand. So I am wondering if, when this happens, you will come to church? Since we will continue to live-stream will this become a preferred mode for you? Or has this prolonged absence found you not all that interested in church one way or the other? I also thought we could discuss this article in the links below on the politics of church opening, which is an excerpt from a book that Anglican Bishop N.T. Wright has written on the pandemic. You may also watch a video of Donald Trump making his case within the article.
