Support Ukraine

March 17, 2022

Dear Friends,

It is heartbreaking to see the vicious assault happening in Ukraine, and the terrible human suffering resulting from it. As a community of faith, we pray for all who are affected by this war. We pray for Ukrainians who are under attack, for those who are suffering and who have died, for their families and their friends, and for those who lead in fighting this invasion. We pray for the Russian aggressors, and their leaders, that they may seek the path of peace and life rather than war and death. And we pray for those who are helping as the resulting humanitarian crisis unfolds – that they may have the strength and courage to keep up this good work, and be given the resources to carry it out.

Prayer and action go hand-in-hand, and our parish will be raising money to help fund the humanitarian effort. The Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, established by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) and the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF), is immensely grateful to all Canadians for their generous support of humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.

DONATE TO SUPPORT HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS IN UKRAINE

St. George’s will match up to $10,000 total donations collected by our parish toward this effort. You may donate by cheque, envelope, or by clicking on the donate button on our website or on this page, then selecting “Support Ukraine” from the menu options to designate your gift to support this important community project. I thank you in advance for your prayers and your generosity.

Blessings,
Michelle +
