Special Events St. George's - August 1, 2021

PRIDE 2021 for Families - Drag Queen Story Time - "Tomorrow I'll Be Kind"

With Pride Month 2021 behind us, we recognize that Pride is a year round activity! As such, throughout the Summer, St. George's on-the-Hill is sharing a few more opportunities and content from our community celebrating Pride.

This Sunday we hope you'll join us in watching the final episode of Drag Queen Storytime of the season. This is part of a continuing series for children and families normally featuring Lucy Flawless as they share children's stories that include messages of inclusion, hope and social justice.

Today's story features a new Lucy! With guest host Lucinda Miu as they share the story "Tomorrow I'll be Kind"

This event has been made possible by the talented Lucinda Miu, Uxbridge Public Library, Youth Pride Durham and Durham Children's Aid Society!

AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!
WE WANT YOU TO SHOW US HOW YOU SHARED YOUR PRIDE THIS YEAR!

Your Craft Challenge for this week is to paint rocks that represent pride. We are creating a pride rock garden at St. George's. Paint your rocks in bright colours, as rainbows, as pride flags or as flags that represent your unique you! When you're done send us a picture of your creations to: https://stgeorgesonthehill.ca/share-pride

Drop off your rocks at St. George's outside the church office. We're creating a Rainbow Rock Garden at the church!
