See you in church!

Church by Candlelight

Church by Candlelight is offered weekly until Victoria Day weekend.

Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

A quiet contemplative mid-week service featuring glorious a cappella harmonies, a short meditation on scripture and the Eucharist, in our beautiful church space lit only by candles.

The service is usually followed by a time of fellowship and refreshment.

Board Game Cafe

Once a month, on a Friday, we meet to play board games! This event is open to everyone.  We have a huge variety of games to choose from, or bring your favourite to share!  Perfect for families or anyone looking to meet new people in a friendly environment.

Our next two Board Game Cafes are:
Friday, April 17, 6:30 p.m.
Friday, May 22, 6:30 p.m.

Doors Open Toronto

Doors Open Toronto is an annual event that invites the general public to explore buildings and sites around the city, free of charge.

This year, St. George’s will open our doors to the community on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.

There will be guided tours to help you explore our beautiful 182-year-old building.  Learn about our striking stained glass windows, how an organ works, and some of the colourful characters buried in our cemetery.

Special Events St. George's - July 18, 2021

PRIDE 2021 for Families - Drag Queen Story Time - "Red - A Crayons Story"

With Pride Month 2021 behind us, we recognize that Pride is a year round activity! As such, throughout the Summer, St. George's on-the-Hill is sharing a few more opportunities and content from our community celebrating Pride.

This Sunday we hope you'll join us in watching episodes of Drag Queen Storytime - a continuing series for children and families featuring Lucy Flawless as they share children's stories that include messages of inclusion, hope and social justice.

Today's story is "Red - A Crayons Story"

This event has been made possible by the talented Lucy Flawless, the Pickering Public Library, Youth Pride Durham and Durham Children's Aid Society!

AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!
WE WANT YOU TO SHOW US HOW YOU SHARED YOUR PRIDE THIS YEAR!

Your Craft Challenge for this week is to paint rocks that represent pride. We are creating a pride rock garden at St. George's. Paint your rocks in bright colours, as rainbows, as pride flags or as flags that represent your unique you! When you're done send us a picture of your creations to: https://stgeorgesonthehill.ca/share-pride

Drop off your rocks at St. George's outside the church office. We're creating a Rainbow Rock Garden at the church!
