Youth Group

Our youth and young adults ministry encourages them to become involved and active members in the wider community. Fun, faith, and social justice are at the heart of our programming.

They meet on Sunday mornings for faith formation, and during the week for various activities ranging from scavenger hunts and bowling, to preparing food and serving at Out of the Cold dinners in the Etobicoke area, and other outreach activities such as the Dorothy Ley Hospice Bed Race.

To learn more about getting involved, contact our youth leader at youth@stgeorgesonthehill.ca

Tutoring

St. George’s runs a tutoring program called the Etobicoke Learning Cooperative. Whether you need help with a school subject, or want to offer help to others, you are always welcome to participate.

Good Friday - Way of the Cross for Families

Join us for our Good Friday Way of the Cross for Families led by Fr. Michelle and James Noronha.

This is a liturgy that can be done as a family at home or by joining in with us online at 4:00pm via Zoom. To join in simply click on the Participate by Zoom link below.

Some of you may already be familiar with Zoom, but for newcomers if you need help using Zoom to get instructions about how it works CLICK HERE

If you don't wish to join by Zoom but do wish to follow along, you can watch the action live on the YouTube or Facebook Stream above!

Before we start you may want to complete our WAY OF THE CROSS SCAVENGER HUNT. Go through your house and see if you can find the following things:

• Crayons or pencil crayons, to colour in the pictures
• Something with which to make a cross – popsicle sticks and glue, pipe cleaner, playdough, toothpicks, a palm branch.
• Band-Aids
• Salt water (that can just be salt disolved in water!)
• Tea lights/candles, matches/lighter
• Olive oil/scented oil
• Something to represent Jesus: a picture, icon, small figure
• Spices
• White serviette
• A tomb; a place where you will put the representation of Jesus. It could be a box, a drawer, our you might want to make your own tomb; something simple, or something like this.

Bring them with you and join us on Zoom at 4pm!
