A Prayer for the Week
Holy and righteous God,
you raised Christ from the dead
and glorified him at your right hand.
Let the words of scripture,
fulfilled in Jesus your Son,
burn within our hearts
and open our minds to recognize him
in the breaking of bread. Amen.

Pastoral Care Ministry
At St George’s, we have a growing number of parishioners who can no longer make it out to church. This may be long-term due to age or illness, or short term due to hospitalisation, rehabilitation or illness. Either way, we want to ensure that these persons known that they are not alone and that we take our responsibility to provide pastoral care seriously. As such, we want to form a more structured approach to pastoral visiting so that no one falls through the cracks.
If you are interested in this ministry and would like to volunteer to join our pastoral care team, please join us for a meeting on April 21st following our 10:30 Sunday Celebration. Grab something to eat and drink, peruse the archival materials and join us in St Hilda’s Room about half hour after the end of the Celebration.
If you are not able to attend but are interested please be in touch with Andrew by phone or email (andrew@stgoth.ca).

We Saw the Light!
We collected LOTS and LOTS of eyeglasses to go to lower-income nations. 238 pairs of glasses were bubble wrapped and taken to Hakim Optical. They will be sent to The Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centre in Calgary where they are prepared and then distributed to those in need.
Thank you for contributing to the gift of sight!

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon them. May they rest in peace and rise with Christ in Glory.
